Study Rules for Foreign Students

Study Rules for Foreign Students at VŠTVS Palestra, Ltd. within Erasmus + program

Study application
Only students from partner’s Universities (Institutes which Palestra has concluded interinstitutional agreements with) can apply for the studies at the College Palestra (COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT PALESTRA Ltd., CZ, PRAGUE 24).

To study   the winter semester, it is necessary to submit an application (Learning Agreement for Studies) to the address of the institutional coordinator (kralova@palestra.cz) by  May 30.

To study the summer semester, it is necessary to submit an application (Learning Agreement for Studies) to the address of the institutional coordinator (kralova@palestra.cz) by Nov 30.

Study program
Study program curriculum setting is taking into account the needs of every candidate (2nd, 3rd year of Bc. studies or 1st, 2nd year of the follow-up Master’s degree) and the offer of VŠTVS Palestra, which is stated in a separate document (this document). The study program should always be consulted in advance.

Teaching is in English or in Czech.

Accommodation
VŠTVS PALESTRA does not have its own accommodation capacity. Within the possibilities and the wishes of foreign students, it is possible to give an assistance with accommodation in some of the students residence in Prague.

Buddy
For a better orientation in Prague and facilitating organizational matters including own studies, is the school providing a guide (a buddy) for foreign students.

Exams and credits
All teaching, its content and study results control is taking place in English, and is the same for foreign students as for domestic students studying in the Czech language.

Study report
Students subscribe into the “study system” at the Study Department. Evidence of completed subjects and their termination is recorded through the “Moggis information system”. At the end of the semester, the Study Department is required to provide students with a proof of the results of their studies – Transcript of Records and other documents related, for example, with confirmation of the length of stay of students at school, etc.
