JUDr. Jan Exner is a lawyer by the Czech Olympic Committee. On top of that he teaches European law at the Faculty of Law, Charles University and acts as a member of the Committee for audit within the International Swimming Federation and a member of the Judging Doping Committee by the International Orientation Federation.

His professional areas of interest include primarily the Olympic movement, the protection of Olympic symbolisms, fighting doping use in sports, the problematics of state citizenship in sport and the connection of European Union laws and sport.

Sport is an integrated part of his professional and personal life. He persued orienteering during his sporting career during his study at the Sport Grammar School in Jilemnice. Nowadays he likes to swim or exercise in the gym.

He speaks English and French.
