Department of Pedagogy and Psychology

The department provides education in pedagogical and psychological disciplines, communication, rhetoric, coaching and work experiences.

The students are introduced to general and special pedagogy and didactics of PE within pedagogical disciplines, and gain knowledge from general psychology, psychology of sports, developmental psychology, personality psychology and social and pedagogical psychology within psychological disciplines.

The content of subjects is connected to practice in such a way to contribute maximally to the profilation of graduates of the fields of study Sport and Fitness specialist and Sport and Leisure-time pedagogue.

REPRESENTATION OF PEDAGOGICAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL SUBJECTS IN THE FINAL STATE EXAMINATION

Sports and Fitness Specialist
Final state examination consists of examinations in Psychology of sports, Didactics of physical education and sport, Application of theoretical knowledge in practise.

Sports and leisure-time pedagogue
Final state examination consists of examinations in Developmental and social psychology, Pedagogy, Special pedagogy and Theory and practise of selected hobby activity.

Nutritional counselling and sports diagnostics
Final state examination consists of examination in Basics of pedagogy and psychology (provided by the Department of pedagogy and psychology).

Wellness specialist
Final state examination consists of examination in Psychology of health (provided by the Department of pedagogy and psychology).
