Department of Wellness and Nutrition

The department provides education in subjects focused on wellness and nutrition.
The department of wellness and nutrition guarantees final state examinations, teaching of compulsory, compulsory-voluntary and optional subjects focused on wellness and nutrition. The studies and completed practice (ongoing and coherent) allow the students of the master’s and bachelor’s degree to orientate in basics of philosophy and ethics of wellness and nutrition, in biological, psychological and social aspects of healthy lifestyle, human biorhythms, in basics of nutrition, physiology of nutrition, creation of motion and nutritional interventions and diagnostics of athletes and non-athletes.

An important goal of the department is to engage the students in research projects and develop research in the field of wellness and nutrition in the sense of enhancement of health, quality of life and overall care of clients in process. The department of wellness and nutrition helps students to develop their study and professional prerequisites, fulfil their personal potential and master abilities, skills and professional competences in the context of professional care of health of clients.

Wellness specialist (follow-up master’s study)
Final state examination consist of examinations in Management of wellness services and project management, Psychology of health, Current trends in wellness and Nutrition in wellness programmes

Sport and fitness specialist – specialization in wellness (bachelor’s study)
A part of the specialization is an examination in Wellness during the final state exam.
